Alice Walker wrote a book called "Hard Times Require Furious Dancing." She and her family rented a hall to dance and shake their significant blues and depression away. It was mighty effective. Her book of poems is about just that.A group of us who love to dance, decided we need space and time for furious dancing. This evening will be filled with world music and beats and some popular tunes too. We'll share some of Alice Walker's poems, dance furiously, raise the collective vibration, come into our own power, and explore what it is we're choosing to manifest as we move forward. We'll begin at 7:30 pm with poetry reading from Alice Walker's book, "Hard Times Require Furious Dancing." We'll be guided through some simple yoga warm ups to lead us into an 8:00 pm start time for dancing. We'll then dance to world grooves, funky beats, popular tunes, and some oldies but goodies. This is a time of free-flow-let-it-go exploration and expression.There will be opportunity to participate in an artistic expression of a "community manifestation art board" for those who would like.
